How long must I buy Dreams…
To be free of Reality?
And how long must Illusions…
Die disillusioned-
In the arms of Fate…
Will Hope continue-
selling me strength…
To survive…
This holocaust of Self?
Or should I purchase Peace-
With Defeat…
Mind consents in relief.
Soul spurns in grief-
Heart cannot give up Desire
Let Life rarely reward yearning…
Or Sorrow sap Joy.
Success is only some suffering away
And Spirit cannot die.
